Interview with Nicole of Tribute Books

Please join me in welcoming Nicole of Tribute Books to Socrates' Book Review Blog. This is a chance to learn a little more about her wonderful service.

1) What types of books do you represent?

In 2012, we are looking to represent ebook releases of young adult titles. Our preference is for damn good writing, the particular topic is secondary in importance. However, books written with a series in mind or those that delve into the paranormal will have a slight edge.

2) What do authors need to do to get started?

Manuscripts that have already been professionally edited will receive greater consideration. Our preference is to work with authors who have already been published through a royalty-paying press and who know the ins and outs of book promotion. An established social media platform is a must, and we will not consider writers who do not have a well-followed blog, Facebook page or Twitter account.

3) Do you plan to expand to other genres?

Not at this time, but it is always a possibility.

4) How does your program work?

Interested authors can submit their manuscripts via email to There will be no charge for the authors we select to work with, and they will receive 50% of the net profits of their ebook sales in quarterly royalty payments. We're looking for Microsoft Word documents with a maximum of 350 pages of text with no photos, charts, illustrations, graphs, etc.

5) Anything else you'd like to tell readers/authors/bloggers?

I'm a believer in doing what you love and working with like-minded people, when it's at all possible. I'm most excited about working with authors who enjoy promoting their book on a daily basis. Ones who know the ins and outs of the time and effort it takes to make a book a success because I'm ready and willing to work with them every step of the way.

We try to keep an active online presence with our web site (, Facebook (, Twitter ( and blog ( We'd love to have anyone who loves young adult literature to join us for the ride.

Thank you, Nicole! This was quite informative!

  1. Hi Yvonne,

What a great choice of candidate for an interview.

Someone like Nicole must be so easy to work with and probably needs so little prompting with questions.

She knows exactly what she wants, what she can offer in return, tells prospective authors clearly and concisely her requirements and the 'ground rules' for any future partnership.

But most of all, she comes across as being totally single-minded and passionate about what she does.

Good Luck for the future Nicole and a great interview, Yvonne.

  2. Yvonne, thank you for your generosity in hosting me for an interview. I appreciate your support in helping us get the word out to interested young adult authors and readers.

fiction-books, your kind words mean so much! Thank you for taking the time to comment.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.

Due to way too many spam comments, I disabled the Anonymous User comments. We'll see if this works, otherwise I'll have to go back to word verification.
