Friendly Fill-Ins - August 17th

This meme is hosted by Four-Legged Furballs and  15andmeowing. Each week they will post four fill-in statements.

Another fun week of fill-ins. Here are my answers to this weeks statements...

1. I am going to try and stay away from NetGalley. It's way too addicting and dangerous.

2. I want to be more choosy when it comes to accepting review requests and joining blog tours.

3. Once in a blue moon, I actually sleep late. That's if my kitties don't want an early breakfast, which is rare.

4. I have a large collection of print books. Over the years, before e-books, I collected books in my TBR like crazy. I had books in the thousands. When we knew we planned to downsize, that's when I became an avid e-reader and switched to only storing books on my Kindle, Nook, and Kobo. I even started collecting e-readers. LOL

  1. I don't use NetGalley much at all.

I had to stop accepting review/blot tour books because I have so many books.

I rarely sleep late either. I get up at 5:00.

We're going from a 2300+ sq. ft. house to a 900 sq. ft. house so I have to downsize big time. Bye bye books :( That's ok though because I'm hooked on audiobooks now.

  2. Love your fill-ins. I forgot to mention with the books that I switched to e-books. LOL I don't even know how many of those I have. I still have some hard copy books, however.

  4. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. You are lucky your cats allow you to sleep late sometimes. I just looked up NetGalley, that would be addicting. Have a nice weekend! XO

  5. Thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! I had never heard of NetGalley, so I looked it up, and I can certainly see how it could be addictive. I still love to read physical books. I thought I'd always be stubborn and opposed to e-readers, but I recently realized that I really do enjoy reading e-books. Nevertheless, I still have bookshelves and bookshelves full of physical books that I just can't part with. I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

  6. It is difficult to downsize when it comes to books. Which do you give away? We love our Kindles, but print books still rock. Have a blessed week.

  7. We're trying to be more selective with our review requests, too. For the most part, with few exceptions, we won't be taking on anymore this year, but working through this huge TBR stack. But, telling a publicist "No" feels almost like saying a swear word to me. haha

How many e-readers are in your collection now?

    Have a blessed week!

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.

Due to way too many spam comments, I disabled the Anonymous User comments. We'll see if this works, otherwise I'll have to go back to word verification.
