Sunday Salon - Happy Mother's Day!

The weather is absolutely beautiful here in New York this weekend. I spent some time today sitting on my deck and reading. Very relaxing!

I finished two books this week...

Fifty Shades of Grey by EL James
Desert Intrigue by Linda Weaver Clarke

I already posted my reviews of both.

It's the end of the TV season and we're getting news about some of the shows that have been cancelled. I'm so sad because Harry's Law and A Gifted Man have already been cancelled. Both shows were so good. I wish NBC and CBS, respectively, would have given them more of a chance. I'll be losing Desperate Housewives and House which both come to an end. The Housewives end tomorrow and I believe House ends a week from Monday. I'll miss both, especially Hugh Laurie.

In Plain Sight already ended. I loved that show. However, it doesn't mean I'll have any free time since the summer shows will be starting soon and I'm sure there will be new shows in the fall. A couple of summer shows I'm looking forward to seeing again...

Plus, of course, I will have all my wonderful books to read. I have many book tours scheduled throughout the summer. In fact, one is tomorrow - "Murder in Devon" by Maggi Anderson. So far, it's a great mystery. I will also be hosting a giveaway, so be sure to stop by!

I hope all the moms out there are having a great day! Happy Mother's Day!

  2. Oh, that's sad news to me, too; I loved Harry's Law. And I read that Ringer is being cancelled, which I also enjoyed.

I'm sad about Desperate Housewives...I hope they cancel that show that came after it (GCB). That one was awful, IMO.

Generally, I think shows I enjoy don't last...what does that say about me? lol

    Enjoy your day!

    1. Most of my favorites don't last either. LOL GCB was canceled too. I tried to watch that but I didn't make it through the first episode.
