The Weekend Review - December 28th-30th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend and Happy New Year!

My last weekend review for 2019.  It's hard to believe it's the end of the year, but here it is.  I plan to post a wrap up of my challenges for 2019 and my favorite 2019 books.  I'll post those in the next day or two.

I'm still trying to decide what my first book of the new year will be.  I guess it will all depend on what I finish before the end of the year.

I haven't been doing much TV or movie watching.  I've been busy continuing to unpack and get the house in order.

Anyone have any special plans for New Year's Eve?  We'll probably just go out to eat and come home to watch the countdown on TV.

So, what was your week like?  I hope you all have a great week and Happy New Year!

Yvonne

  1. I haven't been watching anything this week either. Oh 2019 went by so fast! How are you finding The Little Bookshop on the Seine? It looks interesting!

  2. I've requested all the Star Wars movies from our library system, in hopes of a Star Wars marathon over New Year's Eve and Day. It was a last minute thought, so I'm not sure they will arrive in time. If not, maybe I can think of an alternate plan.

I had a friend encourage me this week to pick up Little Bookshop on the Seine. I'm going to Paris in a month, and I'm always eager to read all-things-Paris. I need to look and see what you think of this one.

I hope you get your unpacking done some and you can get back to normal life.

Here's to a wonderful new year!

  4. We had a lovely Christmas week and I'm looking forward to a quiet NYE with a couple of friends. They come round to our house and play games while we wait for Jools Holland's countdown.

  5. I was just thinking about my first book of the new decade....eep! We have the Royals overnight on New Year's Eve and all day New Years, and while their Mom will be with them, it probably means very little reading as they love their Nonna and GeeGee. Happy New Year's Yvonne!
