The Weekend Review - December 7th-9th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

I'm getting a late start this week.  I only finished one book, but it was a good one.

I'm pretty much set on my reading challenges for next year, I think.  Besides the three I host, I'm signed up for five hosted by others.  If anyone is interested in signing up for the challenges I host, check out the links on the right sidebar of my blog under 2020 Challenges.  I'd love to have you join us.

On the TV front, I'm pretty much all caught up on the regular shows until they return in January.  I'm binging now on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and that's really a fun show.  I love it, but I'll probably be finished with the new season soon and have to wait until the next season shows up, whenever that is.

So, what has your week been like?  Read anything good?  Watch anything good?  Hope you all have a great week!

Yvonne

  7. I need to figure out my challenges. I've done so badly tracking my progress this year - I must get better! We are watching V Wars on Netflix right now. Not too bad. Lost in Space Season 2 drops on Christmas Eve and then the second season of YOU is coming soon as well. Can't wait for both of these.

  8. Good luck with your reading challenges! I used to do a bunch of them every year, but I quit almost all of them because I rarely ever “won” the challenges. Have a great week!

  10. I don't do any reading challenges except Goodreads. I find them to be too much pressure. I am starting to read my 2020 review books but have no other reading goals for 2020 yet. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  11. You are really on the challenge band wagon this year! I am cutting back a bit this year to focus on some other blog goals. Good luck! I'm glad you enjoyed The Last Affair as it is darker than many of your reads and definitely not a cozy. Have a wonderful week!

  13. I am cutting back if not cutting out challenges next year. Might do a few low key ones. I think I have The Bookshop on the Seine for review, I don't often read cozies but you know - bookshop in the title!!

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.
