The Weekend Review - September 16th-18th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

I only managed to finish one book this week.  I have to admit, it's getting harder and harder to read these days.  So, I decided to take a mini-break.  I'll still be posting on Sundays, as well as any blog tours I already signed up for.  I'll occasionally participate in weekly memes, but until I know more about my medical situation, I think I just need to focus on that.

The Tuesday meme I host - First Chapter Tuesdays - will be on a hiatus for now.  If someone would like to take it over, that would be great.  Otherwise, I'll just put it on hold and get back to it when I know more about what's going on with me.

I'm not leaving the blog world, so you can't get rid of me that easily.  Basically, I'll just be around less for awhile.  I'm fully planning to fully return in a few months.  For now, I'm just a part-timer :)

It's still humid in Florida but this seems to be a rainy week.  I'm hoping things will cool off at least a little.  Our a/c broke!  Yikes!  Hopefully it will be fixed this week but they had to order parts for it.

So, what's been going on in your part of the world.  I hope everyone is having a great weekend and have a great upcoming week.

  1. Glad you're not leaving! And oh no about the AC! We had the exact same thing happen earliesr this summer. It was sweltering. They had to order a part and thankfully they expedited it so we only went a few days...

  4. I like the technique of slowing down, but not stopping with the blog. It seems to retain the connections without being too stressful. I hope the health stuff starts to take a turn for the better.

  5. I'm glad you have been able to figure out a way to continue blogging, but to slow down a bit. It is important to focus on health, I think.

They say it has been raining at home in Texas...we certainly hope so. It really hasn't rained there in more than two months.

  6. It sounds like a really good idea to slow down, rather than completely stop blogging. That's what I've done, once I recovered sufficiently to blog at all! And so sorry to hear about your aircon woes - the temperatures you folks are enduring sound awful... Here's hoping the coming week is a better one, Yvonne:).

  7. I'm so sorry you're going through all of this. But I'm very happy you'll still be around in the blogosphere. I really enjoy reading your posts. Sometimes a bit of a break is necessary and I'm glad you're taking care of yourself. I look forward to when you'll be back full time, but in the meantime I'm glad you can still be here part-time. :-)
