Sunday/Monday Posts - July 24th and 25th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Sunday!

We're in the middle of a heatwave here.  I like the sun, but I could do without the humidity.  Oh well, it is summer after all :)  I'm not getting much reading done - just not enough hours in a day to do everything.  I'm sure you all know that feeling.  I do have some good books coming up or at least they look like they will be good :)  I, also, have many blog tours coming up.

I decided not to list all my e-book freebies this week...there's just too many of them for me to post. That "buy for free" button is way too tempting and easy to click :)  Now to find time to read a couple :)

I'm almost finished watching Bloodline's second season on Netflix and really enjoying it.  Bones just had their season finale, which was kind of spooky.  I'm looking forward to seeing the new Star Trek movie, but that will probably be next week.  It looks great.

So, how has your week been?  Read many good books?  See any good movies or TV shows?  Hope you all have a great week!

Yvonne

  1. It's hard enough for me to keep up with the print books that come in for me, but e-books just get lost in the virtual world.

  2. I don’t even look at free e-books. I’d go crazy and “buy” everything. I hope you enjoy them all. :)

  3. Oh man. We live right near the ocean so we get a cool ocean breeze but it's still humid here. Sadly, we are currently packing up the house and moving next weekend more inland where it's REALLY hot and muggy. I'm hoping that this weather passes by then. Packing/unpacking a moving truck and boxes will be no fun in it. Especially since the new place doesn't have ac or even windows that allow a unit.

  5. I'm curious about Crazy Little Thing.

Yes, that click button is my downfall, although I don't often get freebies anymore. Except for the Kindle Prime book each month. I found that I end up not reading them.

I'm glad you're loving Bloodline. This week I finished a BBC show called The Last Tango in Halifax, and LOVED it!

Enjoy your week...and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  6. It's been hot here too. Ugh very humid. Glad you're enjoying Bloodline- I liked it too and happy to hear they're doing a S3.

I tend to avoid the freebies because I'd go crazy too.

  7. Terrible here too...but worse 100 m NORTH of here in Ontario. I wrote four reviews this week and now reading two books at the same time....haven't done that in a while. Reading a Hag- Seed ARC from Hogarth Shakespeare, the fourth out of five....have not read Shylock is My Name yet. And reading the first of a two volume book on the 50 years of Star Trek which is a library book and why I need to finish it.

I have read Quirky Quiz Show, and I loved it and highly recommend it

  8. Midsummer Night's Mischief looks good. I hear you on the freebies; I've had weeks like that. :D One-click is just so easy, lol. We have the heatwave too and it's miserable. Stay cool and enjoy NetFlix!

  11. I'm just about done with the heat. Normally it doesn't bother me but I think I've had just about enough. I don't want it to get cold but is temperatures in the 80s too much to ask? The Crepes of Wrath is calling me. It looks like a great cozy! Have a great week!
