Sunday/Monday Posts - June 25th and 26th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Our weather seems to alternate between rain and sun, but it's always humid these days.  Still, seeing the sun shine makes me happy.

This was another busy week on my blog.  I had blog tours everyday.  I've been reading good books, too. That's always fun.  I'm even getting a head start by reading books I scheduled for July.  I never do that.  I usually end up reading books at the last minute and panicking.  LOL

I'm also discovering "new-to-me" authors, which is always fun too.  I just finished reading David Bell's book which was wonderful.  My review won't be up until the blog tour in July.  Now I'm reading Jenny B. Jones which is good so far.  I never read anything by either of these authors before.

Besides reading, I'm enjoying binge watching.  I stumbled upon Ray Donovan.  Now, I'm binge watching that show.  There are four seasons for me to catch up on and the show starts again in August.  I'm not sure I'll be finished by then, though.  I did start watching Orange is the New Black.  I only saw a couple of episodes, so far, but it's good.  A  little different than usual though.  We'll see where this season ends up.

I just heard about a new show this summer.  It's a Stephen King series based on his book The Mist.  There have already been two episodes aired.  I'll have to check it out on demand.  I love Stephen King's work.

Nothing much else happening over here.  I hope everyone is having a great week and enjoying the weekend.

  3. I was always reading review books later than I should have and worried about being done so I could post a review on time, so I decided to stop accepting as many review books. So far this year I've only accepted a few. I haven't heard of the new King show. I'll have to see if I can find it.

  5. I am looking forward to The Child, and also love Karin Slaughter books and want the new Robyn Carr.

I've never read David Bell, but love the look of Bring Her Home.

I finished Season 5 of OITNB and really got into it...and then watched Season 5 of Wentworth, an Australian prison show. Loved it! If you haven't started this one, you might try it and enjoy it.

Thanks for sharing, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  7. The humidity is crazy here too. My hair has grown to rather epic proportions! Great job with reading ahead. That's always my goal but it rarely happens. So many fantastic books! I'm really looking forward to your review of the David Bell. That's on my TBR. Have a great week!

  12. Quite a few good looking books here. We managed to catch the first 3 episodes of The Mist and so far, it's at least entertaining. I really hate the main cop, but I'm sure I'm supposed to. I saw yesterday that there is a series based on Mr. Mercedes starting in August and I know he's working on one for HULU called Castle Rock. All of this thrills my little Stephen-King-loving-heart!
