Booking Through Thursday - Picking and Choosing

This week's question...

A while ago, I interviewed my readers for a change, and my final question was, “What question have I NOT asked at BTT that you’d love me to ask?” I got some great responses and will be picking out some of the questions from time to time to ask the rest of you. Like now.

Two questions about selecting your books.

Pooch asks:

Overall, what factor most influences your choice of your next read?

Sefcug asks:

What is it that makes you want to read a book by an author you have never read before?

My answers...

Lately, the big factor in my deciding what to read is based on what's next that needs to be reviewed or what's the next blog tour scheduled. I'm hoping to eventually catch up and - if/when I do - I usually choose my next book based on my moods. I'm a moody reader. So, it's been a bit difficult with my reading schedule lately.

As for what makes me want to read a book by an "unknown-to-me" author...mainly it's the story, but also recommendations by fellow bloggers. If I run into a review that sounds interesting, I'll try it out.

  1. Since I read for my own entertainment I mostly read anything that appeals to me. I find most of my new authors by reading other book bloggers reviews.

    Thanks for the visit today.

  2. Like you, I usually read what is due for review next. But I also try and find time to squeeze in just for me books. I'm a moody reader too.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.

Due to way too many spam comments, I disabled the Anonymous User comments. We'll see if this works, otherwise I'll have to go back to word verification.
