"Why does my arm hurt?" I managed to ask. Both women shook their heads and patted my hands. That wasn't the answer I wanted. I hesitated to look down, afraid what I might find. Like a missing limb or something.

    If your arm hurts, it must be there... lol... at least I hope so.

      No, amputees often have what's called phantom pain where the missing limb was.

      This snippet has me intrigued; I hope it's a good book.
