Sunday/Monday Posts - April 19th and 20th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

What a lovely weekend...temps are in the 70's and the sun is shining.

I've been reading many wonderful cozy mysteries and enjoying all of them.  It's amazing how many different series there are and each one is so much fun.  Eventually I will go back to other genres as well, but right now I can't resist the ones I have on my list to read.  I especially, of course, love the ones featuring cats and there are so many of them out there these days (although dogs are acceptable too).

I'm way behind on my TV watching.  The only show I seem to be keeping up with is General Hospital, but I'm also still watching Scandal, The Good Wife, Madam Secretary, Grey's Anatomy and Survivor to name a few.  My DVR says I still have 28 shows to watch.  Yikes!  Of course with the weather getting so nice, I don't feel like staying inside to watch TV.  LOL

I started using a Fitbit a few weeks ago and having fun with that.  So, I need to get out and do some walking or some more exercising of some sort.  I want to build up all those steps I should be adding to my Fitbit.

Other than that, I'm hoping for a week filled with reading next week.  So, what's been happening with you?

Yvonne

  2. There are more and more cozies out these days! The market is getting glutted but it sure is nice to have choices.

I'm still waiting for my review copy of Bite teh Biscuit; I'm reviewing it for a tour next month.

    Happy reading!

  6. Glad you're still enjoying your mysteries! I read little last week as I went away to look after my niece - though eventually got to a Laura Lippman novel.

Am thinking this week will be better. Of course here in Australia I'm awaiting the cold winter weather so I can rug up and read even more!!

  7. I didn't realize GH was still on. I listened to an Agatha Raisin mystery today. The entire series is offered as a boxed set at over $200! It was a pretty short book read by Penelope Keith so the narration was excellent.

  10. I love a cozy mystery also, but haven't read one in a while. Gotta get one soon.
You may want to consider getting rid of Captcha. It's had me enter 3 different pieces of text and identify cake and soup and still isn't letting me post. I'm trying again!

  11. Hi Elizabeth - Unfortunately, I had an abundance of spammers in recent weeks. I'm not using Captcha, I'm using Re-captcha which just has you check the box to say if you are a robot or not. Maybe it comes up differently for different users? I'm sorry you had so much trouble with it.

I just didn't have time to be monitoring the board for spammers all day. Disabling anonymous users wasn't enough and blogger wasn't catching all the spammers. Very annoying.

Hopefully, things will die down and I can take it off.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.

Due to way too many spam comments, I disabled the Anonymous User comments. We'll see if this works, otherwise I'll have to go back to word verification.
