Against my better judgement, I signed up for two more reading challenges that J.Kaye is holding on her blog. Then I decided to host a couple more challenges myself. I'm a huge James Patterson fan, but I've been so behind on my reading that I figured a good way to catch up was to challenge myself. So, that's what I did :) Of course it's not the end of the world if I don't complete the challenges (I still have quite a few going on besides these), but it does help to keep me focused on my reading goals. Is there a 12-step program for challenge-aholics? LOL
As for my actual reading (I really need to stop being online so much so that I can devote more time to reading), I finished "The Summerhouse" by Jude Deveraux - loved it and posted my review. I'm almost finished with "The Lie" by Frederica Wagman. I'll post my review soon - a very strange, but interesting book.
I still have a couple of book giveaways going on. If you want to enter, just click the covers on my sidebar. Both books look great and I'll be getting them to review soon.
I also started a new group on Shelfari for my James Patterson Reading Challenges, please feel free to join us. You can also sign up for the challenges here on my blog, of course.
I hope everyone has a great week. Happy Reading!

Those challenges can be so addicting. As long as you have fun in the process, that's all that matters. :-)
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great week, Yvonne!
Fellow book challenge addict here. :) I signed up for the Stephanie Plum one, but not the James Patterson one. At least not yet...
ReplyDeleteLol, yes they are fun, I have almost finished all of mine, but the TBR one is going badly
ReplyDeleteMy problem with reading challenges is that I do feel it's the end of the world if I don't complete them, so I've had to stop joining as I was making myself feel so guilty!
ReplyDeleteI am trying not to take on too many reading challenges. I have taken on two this last month, but they are so addictive.
ReplyDeleteWendy - That's what I figure, as long as I'm having fun, what's the harm?
ReplyDeleteCarrie - The Stephanie Plum series is so good and I love it. I needed this challenge to keep me focused. I'm so glad J.Kaye is hosting this one.
Blodeuedd - I did TBR Lite and I'm not doing very well with that one either.
Table Talk - I used to feel that way, but last year I realized I was putting too much pressure on myself.
Vivienne - I tried not to take on anymore, but the challenges I joined were all books I wanted to read anyway, plus some overlap into other challenges :)
