Sunday/Monday Posts - July 27th and 28th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews

Happy Sunday and Monday!

I've had a fairly good week, although not reading as much as I would have liked.  I seem to have become involved in more and more TV shows, so that's taking up time.  I'm loving Under the Dome and I really need to read that book or at least start it.  I started watching The Strain, which is pretty good so far.  I can't believe True Blood will be coming to an end soon but there are always other shows to take it's place.  LOL

I've been catching up on Scandal, thanks to Netflix.  I love Scandal.  I had no idea it was this good.  I'm halfway through season 2.

I watched the movie Non-Stop with Liam Neeson.  It was so good.  Liam Neeson is starting to become one of my favorite actors.  I love his movies.

The first two weeks in August look busy for me as far as blog tours go.  After that, I will be able to have more time to catch up on author/publisher/publicist requests (yes, that includes Netgalley and Edelweiss too).  Although, I will still accept the occasional blog tour after August as well.

Summer is moving right along...or should I say it's flying right along?  July is just about over and September is right around the corner.  It really went fast and I don't even feel as if we've had a summer, but that's how it goes.

So, what's been going on with you?  What have you been reading and/or watching?

Yvonne

  3. My parents and I are addicted to Scandal too. Each season has left us saying "please ABC can we have some more?"

  4. Free Agent looks good. I agree that summer is rushing by. The beginning of August always feels like the beginning of the end to me. Come see what I got at Inside of a Dog and Ms. Martin Teaches Media. Happy reading!

  6. I've been wanting to watch Under the Dome. I just finished up watching Breaking Bad finally. I'm still in the middle of watching season 2 of Orange is the New Black.
    Happy weekend!

  7. I feel the same way about summer. I thought June went okay and then July just flew by- kinda irritating. :) And the weather has been relatively cool all summer! Anyway enjoy the shows, I haven't seen Under the Dome but it sounds fun.

  8. I saw the movie Nonstop on my channel lineup...now I must see it! I also love Liam Neeson....did you see him back in the day with Diane Keaton in The Good Mother? A totally different kind of role for him.

I'm going to have to watch Scandal, too.

Love Orange is the New Black...the show more than the book, actually.

Here's MY WEEKLY SUNDAY/MONDAY UPDATES POST

  9. I'm in a constant war between the books I want to read and the TV I want to watch. Glad to hear I'm not the only one who has that problem. I've added Bitter Chocolate to my wishlist and look forward to seeing what you think of it. Have a great week!

  10. We are enjoying Under the Dome. We try to record everything we watch which keeps viewing time at a minimum. Hope your week allows for more reading!

  11. I gave up on UtD after the 7th episode. I'm liking The Strain though. I need to read the second book. And I need to watch the 2nd season of Orange.

    Have a great week.

  14. I don't know where the time is going, it's flying by too fast.
I don't watch a lot of tv so that's not the culprit with me, hope you enjoy your shows (and books) :D

  15. Murder Strikes A Pose looks really cute. Great idea to combine with a cozy mystery!
I am starting season 3 of Scandal, as I am addicted to watching it on Netflix. I will need to find another show since after season 3 is done, the show starts #4 next on tv. Have a great week!

  17. Murder Strikes a Pose looks cute.

I've been watching less and less TV this summer. It's crazy because my recorded shows are just piling up.

  18. I've developed a Netflix addiction too, I binge watched season 4 of Lost Girl on the weekend and I've been watching Alias from the start for the past week or two.

    Enjoy!
