The Weekend Review - September 22nd through 24th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

The weather is more and more like fall now here.  It's cool, sometimes humid, but mostly cool.  I only managed to finish two books this week, but that's not terrible for me.  I'm enjoying the books and that's what's important.

It was a light blog tour week for me, but I make up for that next week.  I have another full schedule.  All are spotlights this time so I can catch up on some of my reviews.  I continue to hoard Kindle freebies.  I have no idea when I'll have time to actually read them, but at least they are waiting for me when I have a chance.

Soon I'll have to start thinking about reading challenges I'm going to host for next year.  I'll be cutting back on the ones I join, but I'll probably continue hosting Cruisin' thru the Cozies, What An Animal, and The Purrfect Reading Challenges.

As for what I've been watching...I found a good show on Netflix called Crossing Lines with William Fitchner and Donald Sutherland.  I never heard of it before.  I just sort of stumbled upon it.  This week my regular shows come back on the air so I'll be busy with those.

So, what have you all been up to?  Read or see anything good?  Hope you all have a great week!

Yvonne

Posts Last Week

One of these will be my next book to read...

I'm finished reading...

Here are this week's Kindle freebie haul. They were freebies when I got them, I don't know if they still are. Always make sure to check they are still free before buying. The prices change quickly.

These books are coming up for reviews/blog tours in the next couple of months:

  1. I LOVE Kindle freebies but I have to be careful not to grab too many which happens all the time. LOL

    Happy Reading! ♥

  2. I hoard freebies too so I don't see anything wrong with it. We've been watching The Purge series, the new American Horror and Mr. Mercedes. Lots of my faves return next week too. 2 books is great and is probably my average each week.

  3. I have stopped hoarding freebies because I am still struggling with my arcs :P I hope you enjoy all of your new books.

  4. It's crazy to think that it's the time of the year where we start thinking about challenges for next year. But it is!

  6. I stopped grabbing Kindle freebies, since I have a lot of books waiting that I actually bought. It's like a disease for me, adding books to my stacks. Sigh.

But...unless all of our technology fails and we can't access them, we're good for a long time.

I am going to check out Crossing Lines. I love those actors...and I just finished Sisters, the Australian series I discovered this week.

    Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  7. I haven’t been reading much lately, either. Mostly because I’ve been reading really long books. Enjoy your new books! I have to stay far away from the freebies, or I’d hoard them all. I already have enough not-free books to read.

  8. I added Crossing lines to my viewing list too. I'm working through Season 6 of Once Upon A time now. Loving the cozies. I have a large stack all read and now I just need to get cracking on reviews.

  12. I love Crossing Lines - especially the first two seasons! I binged on them a few summers ago but really need to go back and rewatch. It just felt so well done. Enjoy your reading and hope you're having a great week!

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.
