The Weekend Review - September 1st through 3rd

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!  Welcome September!

August has come and gone faster than a blink of an eye.  Now, it's September...back to school time and we get closer to Halloween.  I'm still shaking my head at how fast the time is going.

Anyway, I've been busy on my blog with tours. I seem to have something scheduled almost everyday.  So, my participation in the weekly memes has been a little off this past week.   I've also managed to do quite a bit of reading, which is always a good thing.

I just started watching a new show on Amazon Prime that is off to a pretty good start, Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan with John Krasinski.  I also "discovered" another Amazon show which isn't new and many have already liked it, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,  Two very good shows.  I'm still enjoying the Hallmark Channel mystery movies.  I'm just discovering them now so they are all new-to-me.  I think I love the Garage Sale Mysteries and Aurora Teagarden Mysteries the best.  I really want to read the books as well.

Other than that, it's been another quiet week.  How has your week been?  Read anything good?  Watch anything good?  Hope this week is great for everyone!

Yvonne

  1. I sneeked a peek of Jack Taylor not Jack Ryan. It stars Iain Glen from Game of Thrones. But it was just okay. Anyhow I hope things slow down a bit for you lol

  4. It seems like everyone has been participating in the weekly memes much less lately - I see so few people linking up. But I guess I was on vacation myself :) I hope they come back with the autumn!

  8. Ooh, Hush Now Baby caught my eye.

I really enjoy the Hallmark Mysteries...and I love the Garage Sale Mysteries the best, too, followed by Aurora Teagarden and Murder She Baked ("Sami" is in that last one, LOL). I also have read a couple of the Aurora Teagarden books and one of Murder She Baked.

I loved The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel...I hope they bring on a new season soon.

  13. I love the Hallmark Mysteries, especially Garage Sale and Aurora Teagarden. I haven't read Charlaine Harris's Aurora Teagarden books yet, but I did read the first Suzi Weinert Garage Sale Stalker. It's been awhile, but as I recall the book was darker than the movies. Oh, and there are only 3 books in that series (compared to the 15 movies).
