The Weekend Review - December 15th-17th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

Hard to believe it's the end of the year and 2019 is almost here.  It doesn't feel like it, but it is.  The weather isn't bad here.  Some rain, but not bad.  It's not even all that cold, but winter will be here by the end of the week and I'm sure it will start getting colder soon enough.

I have a couple of reading challenges I probably won't complete - two of them my own.  LOL, but I do enjoy participating in them and will be back for 2019's challenges.  I completed two books and reviews this week. Both were really good.

I've been watching The Kominsky Method on Netflix.  What a great show.  Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin are so good in it.  There were only 8 episodes and I finished it quickly.  Now to see what I should watch next.  Any suggestions?

I hope you all have a great week!

Yvonne

  1. I loved The Kominsky Method! I haven't found anything to equal it...it is sort of like a male perspective Grace and Frankie.

I think I'll watch Season 3 of Wanted, though, as I enjoyed the first two seasons.

I saw the movie Dumplin' and enjoyed it

Have a great week, stay warm and cozy, and enjoy your reading. Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  3. I love how they have these mysteries like Christmas in the Cat Cafe - just looks so cute. But, the names are what I like the most. Happy reading this week!

  4. I'm saving The Kominsky Method to binge over the hliday break. It does look fun. The weather here is nice. 60s and sunny for most of the coming week. It's nice to see the sun after so many gloomy, rainy days. Loving your books. Who can resist a Christmas cozy:)
And I have one challenge I won't be completing. The same one as last year. LOL

  6. It was 60 degrees today. It doesn’t feel like Christmas at all. Most of the snow melted. I hope you have a great week!

  7. I've been thinking about challenges too and which ones I want to do next year. 2019 is almost here, I need to decide haha!

  8. The Au Pair catches my eye. The title just pops and begs to be read. Not sure which challenges to pick this time around. Something old and something new.

  9. Eggs on Ice looks like a festive cozy. There are lots of books in your TBR pile that appeal to me! Hope you enjoy them all!

I love Michael Douglas but haven't heard of that show. I'll have to look for it on Netflix. I enjoy watching Last Man Standing with my kids. It's tough to find a good show that we can all watch together.

  10. I almost picked up Eggs on Ice myself, but got distracted. I'll have add The Kominsky Method to my list -- I too haven't heard of it.

  15. I don't watch hardly any tv so I can't help there. I did also get the Cowboy Firefighter for Christmas which looks great but I haven't read it yet. Enjoy your reads and have a wonderful holiday week! Anne - Books of My Heart
