The Weekend Review - December 8th-10th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

Brrrr...it's cold out there!  But, I'm thankful there is no snow or rain.  It's just cold and, after all, it's almost winter.

As usual lately, I've been busy on the blog.  Many blog tours (mainly spotlights - I just can't fit in reviews of all those I would love to review).  I also joined another reading challenge for next year and I'm contemplating another one that sounds good.  I really don't want to do too many next year, but quite a few sound interesting.

I need 7 more books to complete my 2018 Goodreads challenge.  I think I'll be able to do this, but we'll see.  Since all my TV shows will be on hiatus, I should be able to do it.  Although, I'm getting hooked on the Hallmark Channel's Christmas movies so I may be addicted to watching those.  LOL

I'm still getting Kindle freebies and listed this week's below.  Most of them seem to be romances and/or holiday books.  Check on Amazon to be sure they are still free.

I hope you are all enjoying the season and still finding time to read good books!  Have a great week!

  1. Good luck with hitting your reading goal. I have to read 8 more to reach mine. I’m crossing my fingers that I get lots of reading time around Christmas. Have a great week!

  3. We actually want snow, haha! We live in Texas, so it's pretty much nonexistent here, but my son really wants the experience. I told him we'd move somewhere up north and then he'd have all the snow he could ever want. I hope you have a wonderful reading week! It looks like you have a lot of fun books planned.

  9. Wow you're so close to finishing your challenge! I'm not but I haven't given up hope quite yet. I've got the Laura Childs coming up and am looking forward to it. I've gotten the Hallmark Christmas movie addiction too. It's not helping my reading! Have a great week!

  11. I've read Laura Child's series including that one. I like cozy mysteries but some of them I get tired of reading since they seem a bit ridiculous or too much the same. It was cold here and snowed last weekend. Now it's melting and 50s and we are out running around again. Anne - Books of My Heart
