The Weekend Review - September 8th through 10th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

The weather is finally getting cooler, although they are threatening us with hot and humid next week, but I'm enjoying what we are getting now.

I had another busy blog week with tours everyday.  Next week is more of the same.  I don't know how my schedule gets so booked up, but I'm hoping it will eventually be better.  At least they aren't all review tours.

I'm still a bit behind with my Goodreads challenge, but I'm hoping I'll make it by the end of the year.  There's still quite a bit of time left in the year, even though it feels like it's rushing by.  That's probably because everyone is advertising Halloween and I'm getting Christmas book requests when we only just started September.

Speaking of September, the fall TV season will begin soon.  Just when some of my Netflix shows started up again.  The new season of Wentworth was just released, but first I have to finish Ozark.  Then, I have to get back to the Jack Ryan series and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.  Both are on Amazon Prime.

I'm managing to catch up on my reading, which is always good.  I used to only get through one book a week, but now it goes between two or three books a week.  I'm enjoying so many great books these days, mostly cozy mysteries and thriller/suspense books.  I just have to keep trying to stay away from NetGalley and Edelweiss LOL

So, how was your week?  Read or see anything good?  Hope this week is a good one for everyone.

Yvonne

  8. I'm curious about The Ghost and the Bogus Bestseller. Sounds good, and I've enjoyed Cleo Coyle's books.

On Netflix, I started Ozark, but couldn't resist watching some of Wentworth...and now I'm hooked. For some reason, I'm loving it more than Ozark right now, so I keep going.

Enjoy your week and your books! Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  9. Good luck with catching up on Goodreads! I’ve been behind pretty much all year. Usually I hit my goal in October, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to finish it this year. Have a good week!

Aj @ Read All The Things!

  11. I love the cover of Designed for Haunting - how cute. I'm so glad TV is starting back up although we've been watching football a lot. Shameless did start back up last night and I know it's raunchy, but I can't help but love it.

  12. Another great group of mysteries. And, yes, I really do need to stay away from eGalleys ... way too tempting.

  13. I know it sure is hard to keep the schedule clear of reviews. I seem to go in spurts to NG and Edelweiss and think sometimes I won't be approved for them all and then suddenly all are approved! However I have improved at keeping too many from swamping me.
