Synopsis from Goodreads:

Don't miss this Return to Snow Valley Romance. A short Christmas novella that will warm your heart.

A hockey player who loves to fight. The only woman who can soften him. A misunderstanding tore them apart years ago. Can they get a second chance for Christmas?

Josh Porter overcame an abusive father and poverty to become one of the top professional hockey players in the world, but he lost the love of his life along the way.

When Josh and Hannah get stuck on a ski lift, will he finally have a chance to clear up misunderstandings, or will she shred his heart for the final time?

Hannah Haven Hall has loved Josh since high school, but when she sees him cheating on her after a college hockey game she dumps him and locks her heart. Is reconciliation possible with the man she's always loved, or is a Christmas miracle too much to ask for?

My Review

Back in college Hannah Haven Hall saw her boyfriend, Josh Porter, kissing a beautiful redhead. She immediately dumped him and never looked back. Of course she has thought about him over the years, but he became a famous hockey player with beautiful women hanging all over him. She’s sure he never missed her, but it didn’t matter. No way was she getting involved with a cheat.

Josh Porter is doing quite well as a professional hockey player but he never stopped longing for the girl who got away. Now, he has a chance to make things right but will Hannah let him?

This is a sweet second chance romance and is part of the Snow Valley Romance series. I haven’t read any of the other books, but I enjoyed this one. I’m looking forward to reading Hannah’s sister’s story. It chronologically comes before this one, but it really didn’t matter that I read them out of order. At least it didn’t bother me at all.

Fighting for Love is a cute book with warm, loving characters.   It’s a short novella that can be read in one sitting and a great way to spend a few hours.
