The Friday 56

This is a fun meme to do hosted by Freda's Voice. If you'd like to join on the fun go to The Friday 56.

*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader.
*Find any sentence that grabs you.
*Post it.
*Link it here.

It's that simple.

This week I'm reading...

From 56% on my Kindle...

"I wouldn't wish it on anybody, but Mike's getting laid off made us stronger. We made it through some tough days."

  1. I like the title of this one. I know all too well how tough it can be when someone in the family loses their job. I'd love for you and your readers to check out mine...

  2. Sounds like a relatable story. Thanks for sharing. Here's my Friday Book.

  3. Nice cover and interesting quote. I hope you are enjoying it. My book this week is Seconds to Live by Melinda Leigh - a romantic suspense title. Happy reading!

  4. Looks like a sweet book that will inspire the reader. Thanks for sharing...and here's mine: “SWEETBITTER”

  5. This sounds good. I understand what the narrator means by that sentence. There are certain event that happen and are so hard while you're going through them but really cement bonds.

  6. I'd like to read more. Such a lovely cover. Really draws you in:)

My Friday 56 from Ink and Bone

  7. Having been laid off myself, that quote resonated with me. I hope you like the book.

  8. I can relate, having gotten through layoffs with my hubby.
    Happy weekend!

  9. I like the sound of this one. Beautiful cover too.
My Friday post features THE LITTLE FRENCH GUESTHOUSE.

  10. Sounds like a heartfelt story. Enjoy!

  11. Sounds like a good read. Hope you enjoy it. Have a good weekend.

  12. It has much truth in it!
