Sunday/Monday Posts: June 5th and 6th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Sunday!

I still find it hard to believe we are halfway through the year already.  It's true, time really flies.

I'm completely caught up with my TV season finales so I can concentrate on my Netflix binge watching. I watched the first episode of Bloodline and really liked it, so that's most likely the next show I'll binge watch.  I do have a couple of summer TV shows coming like the last season of Rizzoli & Isles.

I also have a nice line up of summer reading that I'm looking forward to.  I've come to the conclusion that I need to stop listening to audios right now.  I tried three different ones and couldn't concentrate on them.  I know if I read these books, I'd love them.  So, I don't want to ruin them by trying to listen and not concentrating.  It must be a mood thing because I've listened and enjoyed audios before. Since I listen in the car, I guess I have too much on my mind right now and my mind wanders.  So, I'm better off reading the books instead. I just wish I could read faster.  LOL

It's been pretty quiet here as we welcome summer.  How has it been by you?  Read any good books? Seen any good shows or movies? I hope you all have a great week!

Yvonne

  1. This is the time of the year when I try to download audios to listen to as we are driving on our vacation. I hope I'm in the mood for audios now!

  2. I really enjoy listening to audios in the car as well. I can't concentrate on them at other times. We had a slow week this week which was a nice change of pace. It was warm enough to enjoy the pool so we stayed there most of the week! Great haul! Hope you have a fantastic week :)

  4. Great stack of books! I want to read the Rita Mae Brown Sneaky Pie Brown series.

I loved Bloodline...hope you do, too. I am looking forward to Rizzoli & Isles being back again.

Audios wouldn't work for me, as I am too easily distracted when listening to anything.

Enjoy your week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  12. Sounds like you are a little weary. The audiobooks will reappear when you are all relaxed and refreshed.

  15. I am jealous that you are caught up on your shows. I am so behind, and with warmer weather I don't watch TV.
