Sunday/Monday Posts - July 22nd and 23rd

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

Well, we are heading into the last week of July.  It's hard to believe, but it's true.  Like we all keep saying, time is flying.  The summer has been nice...we've had both humid and non-humid days.  It hasn't been bad at all.

I've been reading up a storm...well, a storm for me anyway.  LOL  I guess it really helps that I don't have much TV watching this summer.  I am trying a new limited series on HBO called Sharp Objects.  It's based on a book written by Gillian Flynn.  It's pretty good.  I'm going to have to add this book to my TBR.  I also started to get  hooked on Hallmark movies.   Maybe I can get a chance to watch another this weekend.

Not too much else to report...I continue downsizing my house during the week as well as reading and reviewing.  It's been a productive summer so far.

How is your summer going?  Anything exciting going on?  Read or see anything good?

I'm finished reading...

Here are this week's Kindle freebie haul. They were freebies when I got them, I don't know if they still are. Always make sure to check they are still free before buying. The prices change quickly.

These books are coming up for reviews/blog tours in the next couple of months:

  1. I've been really curious about Sharp Objects even though I haven't read Gillian french yet. I've heard it's good.

Purrder She Wrote looks fun too. :)

  2. Glad to hear Sharp Objects is looking good. I thought the book was pretty good. Have a good week.

  3. Sharp Objects is so good isn’t it?

  4. I hope you love Our House...and enjoy all of your books that look so tempting.

Thanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.

  5. I love the Kitty Margo cover. Might have to look into that one. I hope to watch Sharp Objects eventually. I despised Gone Girl though so I've been a little nervous. I got hooked on "Claws" and managed to watch the first season and then am almost current with the second. I agree there hasn't been much on this summer.

  6. Purrder She Wrote looks good. I hope you are having a nice weekend!

  7. I'm looking forward to the Rhys Bowen book. Love your cozies.

  8. I want to read and watch Sharp Objects. I haven't yet of course. I don't watch much tv either. I hope you enjoy your new books!

    Mary my #SundayRoundup #28!

  9. Sounds like a good week! I look forward to your reviews of Deadly Dram, Read and Gone (I have those two, too), Four Funerals and Maybe a Wedding, and Tail of the Dragon.

  10. Yay for reading. you have quite a bunch of books. I wish I was doing as well at downsizing as you have! Anne - Books of My Heart

  11. So many people love Hallmark movies, but I’ve never been able to get into them. The few I’ve seen have all felt very similar. Have a great week and enjoy your new books! I'm glad you've been getting a lot of reading done.

Aj @ Read All The Things!

  12. Love the titles of the cozies! I forgot all about watching Sharp Objects

  13. Ah downsizing is good, at the moment I am putting all my card making stuff on the floor and then I am going to get my sister to come and take what she'd like because I have all this craft stuff I don't ever get to doing. Thanks for the heads up about the email glitch, I never caught up with the fix! Makes sense that it happened around the privacy time.

  14. Almost the only thing I watch on TV is baseball. Sharp Objects does sound interesting. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  15. You actually have The Ghost and the Bogus Bookseller? I have to re-read that series if it is finally being published.

  16. It is crazy it's almost August. Yay for having a productive summer! That's always nice :)

  17. I need to get back to Cleo's books. I'm behind. I can't believe how quickly July flew by. Our summer goes well into September though. It's just getting heated up now. LOL

    My Sunday Post

  18. As always, an enticing selection of books! My weekly update

  19. Purrder She Wrote. Love it! Check out my week here

  20. My DIL is watching Sharp Objects. I haven't read the book yet. Our House is on my TBR list.

  21. What fun books you've got going! I'm so curious about Sharp Objects. I thought they did such a good job with the movie Gone Girl but I haven't read Sharp Objects yet. Hope you're having a great week!
