Sunday/Monday Posts - August 31st and September 1st

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews

Happy Sunday and Monday!

So, that's it?  August left and summer is gone?  Well, not completely.  Summer isn't officially over and our weather (which is like fall now) is going to get hotter during the week.  However, everyone goes back to school and summer vacations are finished.

For me, I start off with a very bad cold and sore throat.  It figures because I'm starting a new job on Tuesday.  I'm looking forward to it and hoping to get rid of this cold by then.

I'm planning to keep my blog running, but I might be scarce for the next few weeks as I get acclimated to my new job.  We'll see how it goes.  I didn't schedule too much for September, but I do have a bunch of tours for October.  I still plan to do all of them.

I only finished one book this week.  I planned to finish another, but I got sidetracked :)

So, what have you all been up to?  Read anything good?  See any good movies or TV shows?  I was disappointed to hear one of my favorite A&E shows was canceled - Longmire.  It was really good.  At least the books are still out there.

For all those celebrating this Labor Day weekend, I hope you are having a happy and safe holiday!

Have a great week everyone!

Yvonne

  4. Both my husband and I woke up stuffy this morning and I so hope colds aren't in the forecast. Since our kids are grown-up, summer doesn't feel like it has ended. Our weather has been weird as well.

  12. That's too bad about Longmire and that you have a cold. Hope you're feeling better especially for your new job! Our weather just started getting hot. It's weird how it does that when it should be starting to get cooler.
