Sunday/Monday Posts - November 15th and 16th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Sunday!

It's really starting to feel like winter these days.  One day it's like summer, then fall, then winter.  I'm not ready for winter just yet, but it's up to Mother Nature :)  Either way, the colder weather makes me want to wrap up in a blanket and read.  So, that's not a bad thing :)

This week I only finished one book, but it was a good one.  I'll be posting my review for Rest Ye Murdered Gentlemen in a couple of days along with a giveaway.  I may not be ready for winter just yet, but I did like reading a Christmas cozy.  Now I'm in the mood for more Christmas books.

I did complete one of the reading challenges I joined.  It's the Foodies Reading Challenge.  I love this challenge because so many of the cozies I read are culinary ones.  I hope this challenge is back next year.

Next week I have a pretty full schedule of blog tours.  Hopefully in the new year I'll have a better handle on them as well as my reviews.

For now, I really do have many good books coming up.  Is anyone else having difficulty staying away from free e-books?  They are so addicting...even the 99 cent ones can be dangerous.  LOL

So, what's going on in your world?  Anything new and exciting?  Have a great week everyone!

Yvonne

  2. Freebies are so tempting! I've been seeing Rest Ye Murdered Gentlemen at a lot of blogs and even won a copy; I'm waiting for it to arrive. I hope you liked it.

It's been chilly here too; I broke out my sweaters and I've been curling up with a warm blanket on the couch, plus a cat or two. :)

    Have a good week!

  4. I'm absolutely refusing to go to the Kindle store because I know I would lose complete control! Our weather seems to be a bit settled down and it's cool enough to wear sweaters but not cold which makes me happy. The Christmas cozies look really good! Have a great week!

  5. I love the titles and covers of cozies...they always make me smile.

I haven't been downloading freebies in a while, as they just clutter up my device...LOL. I never read them! Is that bad?

Usually they are from authors I haven't read, and I have had bad luck with some of those.

Perhaps I should give them a chance?

Thanks for sharing...and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  8. Funny, but I've never really gotten into e-books. I don't feel like they are real, somehow.

  11. Free ebooks are dangerous lol. I can't resist adding them to my collection whenever I come across one that interests me even the slightest bit.
    Happy reading to you.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.
