Sunday/Monday Posts - November 29th and 30th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Sunday!

As we get closer to winter in New York, the temps seem to be getting warmer.  Mother Nature is a bit mixed up, but I don't mind.  I'd be happy if it was like this for the entire winter :)  I had a quiet Thanksgiving with my immediate family.  It's our first since we lost my father.  It was sad, but we got through it.

I've kept myself busy on the blog.  Busier than I intended, but that's okay.  I didn't do many book memes this week, but I did have a few blog tours.  I'm also, participating in the Black Friday Book Bonanza Giveaway Hop hosted by Kimba from Caffeinated Book Reviewer. I'm giving away four cozy mysteries.

I, also, signed up for two reading challenges.  These are both hosted by Lori from Escape With Dollycas - 2016 Alphabet Soup Reading Challenge and Craving for Cozies.  I'm not sure how many more I'll be joining, but I did want to be part of these two.

I love having long weekends, of course :)  I'm catching up on reading and watching my TV shows.  I'm not going to do any shopping this weekend except for doing some cyber shopping.  Although, I don't really need anything.  I'm just browsing.  LOL

So, what have you been up to this week?  I hope you all have a great week!

What was your week like? What are you reading this week?

  1. I do so like the covers of your mystery murders.

  2. Oh, you have some tempting books...Cupidity looks intriguing.

Enjoy reading and cyber shopping...I like staying out of the stores on holidays, too.

Thanks for sharing...and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  3. Ooh you have some neat looking Cozy mysteries... I also signed up for those 2 Challenges plus 3 others!! Happy Reading!!

  4. Long weekends are the best. I've been watching a lot of TV to the detriment of reading. :)

I'll have to stop by for Pouncing on Murder, as it's set in Michigan I believe. That one caught my eye. :)

  5. Good luck with all your reading Challenges next year!

  6. Yvonne, you have been super busy! I've enjoyed the long weekend, too (and several episodes of Downton Abbey). I hope you enjoyed Words With Fiends. Here's to a great week ahead.

  7. You're not doing your cozy challenge this year or you're doing yours and Lori's?

We've had the same weather as you over here in MA; weird but I prefer to freezing cold, ice and snow.

I'm glad you had a good Thanksgiving; the first holiday after a death is rough. *hugs*

Murder Fir Christmas and Yarned andn Dangerous look good.

Happy reading and have a good week!

    1. Yes, I'm still doing my cozy challenge. I'm doing both. Why stop at one? LOL

Thanks for the hugs. Hugs to you too.

  8. I just got back from the beach for the long window.

  9. Am glad you're enjoying your long weekends Yvonne. I'm not working (really at all) at the moment but remember how much I appreciated them when I did work full-time.

Hope the weather continues to stay a little warmer for you!

  10. I'd be happy if this weather lasted all winter, too! Here in central NY, we're allying this No Snow November. I'm looking for cozy mystery recommendations this week... hope you have a few to share :)

  11. I'm loving the covers of some of your reads - particularly Claws for Alarm and Bun For Your Life!

Here's my reading list for the week:

  12. Those cozy mysteries look such fun, love the title Bun for your Life! I did the alphabet soup challenge this year and enjoyed it.

  13. I had a quiet Thanksgiving which I really appreciated. Here is my Monday Report. Happy reading!

  14. You've been engrossed in a fun mix of cozies here. Glad your Thanksgiving went well. Ours was lovely. I forced myself to get back to running as I think my belly's been spoiled lately.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.
