Sunday/Monday Posts - December 20th and 21st

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Sunday!

Is everyone ready for Christmas?  Can you believe it's only a few days away?  We're always saying how fast time flies and it really does.  The weather is as crazy as ever.  Yesterday we had temps in the 30's and this week it's going to keep rising.  They are saying 70 degrees by Christmas Eve.  That just doesn't happen in this area.  Obviously no white Christmas here, but I'm not complaining :)

I'm just finishing off my reading challenges for 2015.  I completed one more challenge.  The last three I won't be completeing.  The Alphabet Soup, Where Are You Reading, and my very own Finishing the Series challenges.  I never complete these challenges but I like trying anyway.  With my series challenge, though, I've handed it over to Bea at Bea's Book Nook for 2016 and I know she'll be better at it than I am.  I pretty much have my 2016 reading challenges in place, although I'd like to find one more for completing either NetGalley/Edelweiss arcs or one for all arcs.  I'll have to look around.

As for my Goodreads challenge, I still need 5 more books to get to my goal and I have two more weeks to do it.  It's not impossible, especially since there aren't any new TV shows on during this time.  The next two weeks I'll be concentrating more on my reading and less on blog tours.  I will get back into the swing of things in January.

I'd like to with all those celebrating a Merry Christmas and I hope you all gets lots of good books for gifts :)

  1. No white Christmas here either and also not complaining! Warmish, in the 60s, but probably rainy.

I am also a dismal failure at finishing the series. I had four listed and only completed one.

  2. It never snows here (well, it did once in the 1980s, I think), but it is raining today. Good day to read!

I am curious about The Coma Monologues. Enjoy your week! Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  3. Warm and brown here too for Christmas and I'm fine with that. As for the challenge, well, we'll see how I do when I'm the one hosting, lol.

    Merry Christmas!

  4. Yeah looks like no snow here for Christmas... which I'm fine with really. I always say I want snow for the holiday but I'll be fine without slippery roads. :)

    Have a merry Christmas!!

  5. Merry Christmas, I am not ready for it but ready for it to be over. :) The only ARC challenge I have found so far is the Netgalley Challenge, but wish the NG/EW was going this year but haven't seen it around so I guess maybe it's not.

  6. Okay, I know I found an ARC challenge on some blog I stopped by today, but I can't remember which one it was! If I think of it, I'll come back and leave you a comment with the info. I don't always finish my challenges either. Hoping to turn over a new leaf this year and be more organized. Have a great week!

  7. A lot of your books look familiar...either I've already read them, or they are coming up soon for me. :)

  8. This year didn't seem to fly by as fast as last year did but it is impossible to believe that Christmas is in just a few days! I'm not ready! No white Christmas for us either but like you I'm good with it. Plus, I think we've only had one in my lifetime so it's not an expected thing. Have a great week!

  9. Sometimes we just have to let some challenges go. I usually do the prequel and sequel challenge because you just get points for the books you read in a series but don't have to finish the series which I like. Some are very long! Have a great Christmas.

  10. Good luck with meeting your reading goals. I don't do challenges because it is just one too many thing to keep track of. I admire those who do take them on. Come see my week here. Happy holidays and happy reading!

  11. I don't do challenges, but I am going to start with a small one this year. :)

ENJOY your week, and Merry Christmas.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.

Due to way too many spam comments, I disabled the Anonymous User comments. We'll see if this works, otherwise I'll have to go back to word verification.
