Sunday/Monday Posts - December 27th and 28th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Sunday!

So, Christmas is over and there's only one more week left to 2015.  Normally, we'd be bundled up in coats, sweaters, boots, hats and scarves.  Instead, it's more like t-shirts and shorts this year.  We've broken records with temps in the 70's.  I'm not complaining, though, but it is strange :)

I only need to finish two more books to complete my 2015 Goodreads goal of reading 100 books.  With only one week left, I didn't think I'd be able to do it but I'm already halfway through one book and my next book is a New Year's romance.  Maybe I can do this after all.  We'll see by the end of the week :)

I'm all caught up on my TV shows, so I was searching through Netflix to see if there was anything for me to binge on.  I found a show that I've become addicted to... The 100.  Has anyone else watched this? It's surprisingly good and it's still on the air and will be returning in January.  Another show for me to add to my already long TV show list.

I don't have any blog tours coming this week and I'm hoping to catch up on some review reading.  I only have to work a couple of days this week so I'm hoping I'll catch up a little.  No guarantees though.  LOL

I hope you all have a great New Year's Eve.  I don't think we are planning to do anything special.  Just stay at home and welcome in the New Year...probably continuing The 100 binge watching :)

Happy New Year to you all and I wish you all the best for 2016.

Yvonne

  4. This time last year I had my heater on all day, every day, at full blast. This year's "winter" is only an extension of fall: cool mornings and hot days. I hope you have a wonderful new year!

  7. Oh, Netflix binge watching has been a habit for me...I finally finished The West Wing and started Jessica Jones. And something called Political Animals. They each have only one season. I'll have to check out The 100.

    Your books look tempting. Enjoy!

  8. My reading is dying here. I just discovered that my Goodreads goal is 2 more than I thought it was. I'm still optimistic but it's going to be close and I may end up squeaking by at the end with some novellas. That's not cheating right? I haven't watched The 100 but I know Greg has and likes it. Have a great week and a happy New Year!

  13. 70's? wow...We had a rather warm Christmas but not that nice. Of course now we have an ice storm, the ride home from visiting was not fun. :)

I love The 100! I tried it too on a whim and got hooked. Season 2 is awesome if you're not there yet. :)

    Happy New Years!
