Sunday/Monday Posts - August 5th and 6th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

I honestly can't believe it's August already.  I feel like it was just yesterday we were all anxious for summer to begin.  Now, it's the second half of the summer.  Unbelievable.

I've been on a great roll lately as far as my reading goes.  I've been having 5 star books in the last couple of months.  I guess I've been choosing books wisely and getting great books.  As most of you know, I mainly read cozy mysteries so anything in that genre is almost always something I'll enjoy.  Lately I've been mixing thrillers, suspense and romance in there and those have all been wonderful as well.  My reading life is looking good :)

I'm almost through with season 6 of Orange is the New Black on Netflix.  Another great season for this show.  I'm not sure what my next binge watching show will be, but I'm sure I'll find something.  LOL

I'm making progress in going through all my stuff in the house.  We are well on our way in this downsizing project.  We will get there soon, I'm sure.

The weather here continues to be hot and humid, but my a/c works very well :)

I hope you all have a great week!

Yvonne

  1. Couldn't agree more- this summer FLEW by! And glad your reads have been good. Mine have been too, for the most part, after a rough patch in early June.

Read and Gone and Tail of the Dragon look awesome.

  4. I can't believe it's August already either. It doesn't seem that long a go that it was New Year. Nice book haul, I keep meaning to get back into cozy mysteries. I love a good mystery but I've yet to venture in to the cozy section!

  6. I've been reading a lot of 5 star books, too, and like you, I believe I'm choosing better. Books that I know I'll love are the best way to go. I hope you loved Our House...and I like the look of K Street Killing.

Enjoy your week, good luck with the downsizing, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

    1. I couldn't get interested in any of the shows I've started to binge watch but the other day I decided to try The Andy Griffith Show. I remember most of the shows but they are still very funny so I'll keep watching.
