Sunday/Monday Posts - August 19th and 20th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

I don't know about everyone else, but our weather in New York continues to be hot and humid with quite a bit of rain.  It feels swampy out there.  Thank goodness for my a/c.

Since it's too humid out there, I've been inside most of the time.  That has given me a chance to do quite a bit of reading as well as continuing to clear stuff out of here in my downsizing project.  I finished three books this week which is alot for me.

I even managed to keep my blog hopping every day this past week.  I always seemed to have a post of some sort going on.

I really can't believe Labor Day is almost here.  It really boggles my mind how fast this summer went.  Well, there are still a couple of weeks left in August.

I hope you all have a great week and read many great books!

Yvonne

  1. I'm sorry your weather has been so miserable. It's been a hot summer here, too, and that never bodes well for hurricane season which really gets underway soon.

Plenty of time for reading, though, if you can stand to do so in the heat!

  2. Loving your haul and yes Labor Day is coming much to quickly. Sorry about the swampy weather. It has hot here Friday, but rain has cooled things again

  3. As I think about all your packing for downsizing, I moan a little, since I did mine in the heat of the summer, too...eleven years ago. Now I'm due for some more purges.

Enjoy those books. K Street Killing looks very tempting.

Stabbed in Baklava reminds me of how much I enjoy baklava...LOL.

  6. Yuck. Swampy. That’s no fun. I agree that this year has gone way too fast. I had so many plans, and they mostly fell apart. I need to find something interesting to do before the year ends. Enjoy your new books. Have a great week!
