The Weekend Review - August 25th through 27th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

As we head into September (I can't believe this is the last week of August!), our weather keeps alternating between nice and hot/humid.  Of course the cold winter will be here before you know it and I'll be complaining about that too.  LOL

I've been reading many good books.  The best is that I'm finally at a point where I can alternate between review books and books either from my TBR or the library.  I can read those just because I want to.  For a long time it's been only review books for me.  Although they are books I would have read anyway and wanted to, it's nice to read some that aren't on a schedule.

The Fall TV season will be here soon and I'm looking forward to revisiting old favorites and maybe watching some new ones.  There are a few that look interesting.  New Amsterdam, Manifest, A Million Little Things and The Rookie are a few I want to check out.

Other than that, it's been a quiet week.  Just the way I like it :)  I hope you all have a great week and read many good books.

Yvonne

  3. I do love the fall TV season...so many tempting shows to try.

I am also at a point where I can read more of my own books and library books...I only have 3 NetGalley books left on my shelf (one more for September and two for October). Now if I can stay away from the site!

Enjoy your books...so many good looking ones, like Murder, She Reported.

  4. I'm liking your new reads. And I too am at a point where I can relax and enjoy my own books as I've taken in less for review. It makes for more fun and less stress about writing the reviews and the books are more enjoyable that way:) Also anticipating the fall shows too!

  9. Haha, complaining about the weather seems to be a hobby for most people. I hate that it’s hot, but once it starts snowing, I’ll hate that, too. Have a great week!

  11. I don't watch much TV other than sports and The Voice. I am looking forward to that. Our weather has been gray, gloomy, and humid. Great reading time. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  14. Having a non ARC is always a nice treat. Getting that balance is nice. I've got awhile before I get there but I'm looking forward to it when it happens! So many great books! I'm so curious about some of the new shows. A Million Things is tempting me too. Have a great week!
