Anything Goes on Saturday - Old Favorite TV Shows

This is a new meme called "Anything Goes on Saturday". It's a chance to choose any topic you want and talk about it on Saturday - it can be about a book, TV show, movie, a recipe or just an update on your week. Whatever you choose.

If you'd like to join in, take the button above and blog about it. Use the linky below to post your direct link to your post. Then, go and visit other blogs and see what's on everyone's minds this week. Enjoy!

I just wanted to dedicate this week's blog to a TV show I loved growing up, "Here Come the Brides" starring Bobby Sherman and David Soul. This show was around 1968/ 1969 and took place in Seattle during the 1880's. The Bolt Brothers brought 100 brides to Seattle to get married. If all the brides stay in Seattle for a year, the brothers keep their family mountain. If not, they lose it.

This was the first TV show I was obsessed with. I adored Bobby Sherman and still have a special place in my heart for him. Here are some You Tube clips from this show. (It's now being aired once a week on the new TV channel "Antenna TV".)

Do you have any favorite old TV shows?

  3. It really was a fun show. It's probably one of the reasons I prefer western historical romances whenever I read an historical romance.
